Top performing companies and workers will receive more attractive incentives under the Taqdeer Award 2022.

Six new government entities are offering 30 incentives to companies and distinguished workers who will be declared winners of the fifth edition of the award, which aims to recognize best practices in workplace wellbeing and improve workers’ living standards.

The new prices include free treatment and training for employees, two-year license renewal fee waivers for businesses, priority in contracts with government entities, and other attractive benefits.

Bringing the total number of incentives to 65, the prize administration said the government incentives, worth tens of millions of dirhams a year, will come in the form of discounts and special benefits offered to businesses. and to workers.

More than 45,000 companies and factories and tens of thousands of workers in four key economic sectors – subcontracting, factories, free zones and companies working in the field of labour-intensive supply work – should enjoy the government benefits offered to distinguished companies and workers who have won 4 and 5 stars in each edition of the award.

The chairman of the award, His Excellency Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai), said the additional incentives will help strengthen relations between businesses and workers and to improve reputation. of Dubai as the best city in the world in which to live and work.

“The new government incentives will help increase the demand of targeted companies to participate in the rewards program and motivate workers of all categories to give more to reach the platform of honor,” he noted.

Held every two years under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, the Taqdeer Prize aims to motivate labor-intensive businesses to compete positively and be listed on the excellence of the award. platform of honor.

So far, more than 140,000 workers from various sectors have benefited from blue cards of excellence in the four previous editions of the award.

The cards offer special discounts at Dubai-based malls and outlets. Companies that earn the 4 and 5 star ratings of the award also enjoy an array of government incentives and privileges, including a competitive advantage in bidding for contracts awarded by government entities, as well as other facilities and special discounts.


Among the government entities issuing the awards are the Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Customs, Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Civil Defense and Dubai Media Incorporated. Four entities that supported the 2020 edition were the Road and Transport Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai Municipality and GDRFA Dubai.
